SMART Technologies - User Interaface

Problem

• The user interface color scheme is too dark and wasn’t reflecting the new brand guidelines 

• There were a few attempts on updating the website so there were different types of graphics treatments throughout the website

GOALS

• Document user interface guidelines

• Implement a system to design new pages easier

What I did

• Meet with the brand team to get their brand guidelines

• Lead and collaborate with an external design agency to create the user interface 

• Define page templates and modular components

What I learned

• We were limiting our ideas because of development constraints. In the future, I would offer the “basic” version and the ideal version as well to be ready for future updates.
