Cascade Enviromental
Problem
Cascade was rebranding and their site wasn’t representing their new vision of being thought leaders on their industry. The site was unable to scale up as they were acquiring companies and expanding their list of services. Also, the website backend was hard to manage and the site was not mobile friendly.
GOALS
Become a thought leader in their industry
Modernize their website - adding mobile compatibility, blog and dynamic data
Match the new site with their new branding
Solution
Breakdown the website features Cascade needed and prioritize. We were lucky to lock down a long term contract that allows us to dive in and work in depth. For the site, the color scheme matched their new branding, the layouts feature big visuals and dynamic related data was added to a few templates. For example, a service page will also show a feed of related projects and blog posts.
What I did
Because of the length of the project I was able to work on multiple things, I worked on the front-end development, designed and collaborated with the lead designer, project manage during their retainer maintenance contract and lastly created an audit. The audit was created after a very successful 2017 were we surpass Cascade marketing and website KPIs by an average of 72%. I thought there was some more work to do and dove deep into the analytics and found some red flags and areas to improve like upgrading the site user flow and move the CTA placement to improve conversions.
What I learned
I learned that I enjoy working on long-term projects versus 3-9 months projects. It allows me to immerse myself on the project and create meaningful work.
